Place is not the cleanest. I felt the practitioner wrote everything off as a virus that needs to "run its course" and initially making an appointment is almost impossible! On hold for over 15 minutes and still no answer! No answering machine either! Definitely looking for a new office.
I like my PCP here—she is friendly, encouraging, reassuring. But I don't understand the disgusting state of some of the exam rooms (grimy floors!) or the overweight, unhappy nurse who wore her heart on her sleeve, appearing to be annoyed that I should need to see the doctor (my appointment was right before closing time, so I guess that put me on her blacklist—heaven forbid I make her miss her TV show). My advice is two-fold: (1) clean the floors with bleach and a flame-thrower, and (2) get another job if you find yourself dripping your unhappiness on everyone else. If Coventry cares about people's wellness, they would have clean floors and nurses with compassionate attitudes.
If you are fortunate enough to get dr. Chu or dr. Siciliano, you'll be okay. Otherwise, some of the other providers are sketchy. If you are hospitalized, you're at the mercy of their residents. Some of the providers didn't attitude if you advocate for yourself. They do not like informed patients and prefer that you just take pills and treatment without questioning them.
There was an incident at the hospital with one of the providers. When I voiced my concerns, another provider felt it was there duty to retaliate against me. They interfered with my care which affected my health. There is a reason for all the low ratings.
Never answer the phone but they are always sitting there -- go figure. Half the time you get rude nurses who appear bothered and annoyed (Melissa is the best nurse they have). The worst part is waiting!! I show up 20 minutes prior to my appointment and I still find myself waiting for almost an hour to get to an exam room. If your lucky you'll only wait 15 minutes for your doctor to come in AFTER you finally make it to an exam room!!
I appreciate the whole Coventry staff. I know it's a huge practice with many, many patients but somehow they all make me feel special & that my health concerns are a #1 priority!
